Trade Down

  1. 1. How open are you to trading down this year?

    • I’m open to just about any deal that allows us to add further assets.
    • I’m open to it if “my guy” isn’t there.
    • I’m open to it, but we’d really have to fleece someone.
    • Stop. Trading. Down.
    • Trade down? We should be moving UP!
  2. 2. What type of compensation would you need to move back?

    • I’m fine with even a day 3 pick, I just want more assets.
    • I’d probably need a day two pick to even consider it.
    • I’d need picks both this year and next.
    • I’m not having any discussions for less than a first.
  3. 3. How far back would you move?

    • A couple spots, but not outside of the top 22-25.
    • Anywhere in the first is fine.
    • I’d move out of the first, but we’d have to stay in the top 45.
    • I don’t care when we makw our first pick this year if the deal is right (ie future picks).

I want more picks for 2020, that said I am open to moving up or down if we need to.

If one of the top 5 players was in range for a 3rd I'd do it.

If we move back 10 spots and get a 2020 2nd or3rd and change I'd be happy.

Moving back would be the optimal decision for the franchise beyond 2019, the move to make for this year is to move up.

I'd move up for a pass rusher, dt/de I'd move back for the same or a receiver or corner also. I dont want to move up a non linemen.

With how good we have been round 2-5 I am happy to move back. It is a 53 man game.

This is where I’m at.

Yeah next year is the year I’m gonna be going hard(er) for a trade down.

It really is.  While we have some pretty decent starting talent, our depth is sketchy as hell in some areas, specifically on defense.

The optimal number of picks in a draft is probably somewhere between 6-8 with 3-4 picks in the earlier rounds, and moving up out of the 7th and 6th rounds where you can. Also there should be a goal of getting 1 pick in rounds 1-3 the next year, more of possible as long as it doesnt hamper your team.this year

I think our lack of depth in the d line hurt us for the whole year, larry and myles were gassed by week 4, but we really didnt have effective depth to play anyone else.

Yeah we have plenty of picks this year, I’d honestly prefer future picks.

Keep that war chest full.

Totally, we have legit talent, we are moving into unprecedented territory of browns recent history  trying to build a team that can win for a decade.

Sachi, I salute you.

Agreed.

I think our depth at CB was just as bad tbh.

Yeah losing ward and mitchell sucked our only competent outside guys.

Carrie started the season as our no.4 corner despite a sizable contract, he was mediocre on the outside bar the Denver game. Him and BBC are inside guys.

I'm cool with picking anywhere in round 1, but I think 17 is a really sweet spot to land. All of the good QBs are probably gone by then pushing down better talent elsewhere.

I am hoping 2 wrs and 3qbs are gone by our pick giving us a shot at some good dlinemen.
