ramssuperbowl99
Translated: "Julio Mendez's parents will travel to Arizona today to accompany their son who has been in critical condition on Saturday." This feels like them getting a chance to say goodbye.

ramssuperbowl99
Holy crap, I thought "performing daily activities" was code for "could occasionally wipe his own butt". He's resuming baseball activities. Unreal considering he didn't just have a heart attack, his heart stopped.

Slateman
Cannot wait to read the case study on this guy. From first responders all the way up to whatever surgical/medical interventions they did.

All about the first responders. Based on that reddit account of it, the trainers were amazing. They at least got his heart restarted with CPR, kept enough blood going that he didn't suffer tons of brain damage, recognized it still wasn't beating normally, and got a defibrillator to try and restore it. I hope the Brewers give them an award and parade them/Julio around a game at some point this upcoming season.
