Converted SS with a ton of experience playing in the box and elite athleticism for the position. He's not fluid enough to play safety in the league but he was elite on coverage snaps in the box in college, only giving up 184 yards on 401 snaps. Not comparing the two on the field but... Also, what would nickel (which is the real base defense) look like? I'd imagine Ferrell would come off the field. That said I'm all for Henderson at 12. However, the offense needs a lot of TLC after not really being addressed in FA. If Henderson goes 12, I believe the next 2-3 picks need to be dedicated to the offense. QB room is fine, OL depth is fine, and TE depth is fine. If we add a young WR that room should be solid and a mid-round pick at RB and that group should be fine as well.
