If you're sick of having .240 hitters everywhere, you shouldn't get a guy who can only play a position with your 2 best hitters and your best hitting prospect. We can get Dozier for spare parts that we'd be burning in a 40 man crunch. It's the same production until Hiura is ready at a fraction of the cost. We're saying spend efficiently. So yeah, go get Dozier for Brett Phillips and some other minor, near the big league guys. Merrifield takes guys from the top of the system. That's a quarter of the top 8 of our farm system, by pretty much any ranking you follow. We're not trading Hiura or Burnes. We have no ammunition at that point because of Whit fricking Merrifield.
