Although that certainly looked like a fumble as his fingers came off the ball before the elbow touched. Should of challenged. Broncofan
Well that was a huge break to stop them. I think the spot was VERY generous to us. A 3 and out was exactly what we needed. With Gruden having lost a TO and down to his last challenge, couldn't challenge the spot, either. Those were big breaks on our part, since a FM penalty can't be challenged. Could have easily been 14-0, and no momentum, now we get the ball back with our first 3 and out. One major break is that the OAK D is tired. 22 of last 25 plays have been on our O. But we need to march and score a TD. No ways around it. The OAK DL is tired. We HAVE to dominate on the OL this time. And if Scangarello is smart he just POUNDS IT DOWN THEIR THROATS.

Broncofan
We cannot have a 3 and out. This is one of those moments in the game where our W probability goes to 1-2 percent if we don't convert.

That's the problem. It was all or nothing and Flacco CANNOT extend plays. Destined to fail if the 1st read isn't there.

Broncofan
Wow that was an AWFUL throw by Flacco. Lindsay saves it. We get 3 downs. We need to hit something vertical when we throw on 1st/2nd otherwise OAK is going to stack the box and take away our run game. We cannot be dink and dunk when we throw. But to do that we need 3+ secs of protection. With them on the field 25 of the last 28 plays there's ZERO excuse not to be able to pass protect for 3+ secs now. AnAngryAmerican
Wow who would have guessed that establishing the run when you’re on the road is a good idea. Took Scangarello 3 quarters to figure that out.
Broncofan
Man this is the Royce Freeman ppl were hoping to see when we drafted him. That was a punishing blow. And he gets the 15 from S Abram's helmet hit. The worrisome part for OAK is that CB has a history of concussions - S Abram might have just taken out Conley from the game. paul-mac
Freeman running hard. Sutton and the 2 RB's have been our best offensive players tonight.

What's different is that we have literally been on O for 27 of the last 30 plays. The OAK D is plain exhausted, on fumes. We can run, we can pass deeper now with CB Conley out. We HAVE to score 7 here. We will never get a better gamescript matchup than right now. Edited September 10, 2019 by Broncofan
