I don't disagree with your premise - but I think John Elway is way too ingrained into the Broncos franchise to ever get fired. He might resign on his own, but he's a minority owner of the team and is treated like a member of the Bowlen family.

He'll get unlimited shots at the apple, nobody is going to actually tell him he's on the hot seat, IMO.

A good GM makes all the difference. It's the only reason I have confidence in our organization moving forward.
