We only have 2 games vs pre-season ranked teams...if we go 7-5 vs this schedule, you have to move on from Chryst and promote Leonhard. I would say 8-4 but we go to Ryan Field so that's an instant juju loss, so it's not hard to see 8-4 with another game dropped somewhere due to dip****'s inability to coach.

Be ready to be disappointed. I'm ready for this offense to be just as terrible while the defense does all the heavy lifting for 3 quarters till they inevitably run out of gas.

Honestly, that team has enough talent to win. I'd take a Scott Tolzien type efficient, non-game changing QB for this team but, unfortunately, PC, the QB guru, hasn't developed a single QB in his time here.

Can't tell if Logan Brown is a massive disappointment or if we're just playing inferior players at guard because they're seniors, or maybe Brown refused a move to guard.

Mahlman completely outplayed him in camp, from what I've read. The fact that we decided to move Tyler Beach inside over Brown probably answers your other question.

I imagine a transfer portal announcement could come soon. Not like we'll miss him with Mahlman a frosh and Nelson a soph and Rucci, Benz and Brunner all waiting in the wings.

Agreed. There's a chance he's not even on the 2 deep. May have Wedig at RT and Rucci at LT.

Our history of 5* recruits, while small, is just brutal when they get on campus. Hoping Rucci changes that.

Almost. I'm sure he may have been on Rivals but that's according the the composite rankings so Scout's ranking may have brought him down back then. His composite score was .9827 and you need a .9833 for a composite 5*.

EDIT - No, he was a 4* OLB on Rivals.
