MKnight82
Looking at my roster, the only trade chip I think that can realistically return a first round pick would be QB Creese. Now that might not seem very realistic for a 5-2 team to trade its starting QB, but I have no interest in signing him to an expensive long term extension. That's when you go with the story of "with the team seemingly uninterested in a contract extension the relationship turned contentious and Creese asked to be traded"
MKnight82
I was curious what my highest draft pick has been in this, here's a historic summary: 2020 Draft #12 - DT Derek Tripp #14 - QB Jeffrey Witman 2021 Draft #8 - CB Rashawn Cash #17 - SS Harvey Berry 2022 Draft #13 - WR Jermaine McKee 2023 Draft #8 - TE Solomon Beachum 2024 Draft #24 - RT Chance Burch 2025 Draft #10 - CB Pearson Young #18 - HB Anthony Rathman 2026 Draft #11 - FS Howard Pitts #21 - ROLB Vincent Finney #32 - QB Malcolm Holloway 2027 Draft #7 - FS Mike Landry #31 - RG Armon Poindexter 2028 Draft #30 - RT Derrick Irwin 2029 Draft #13 - CB Quentin Banks #24 - LT Blake Linsley 2030 Draft #16 - HB Jordan Silver #20 - SS Jamichael Mills 2031 Draft #5 - WR Bruce Bullard So I've only had five top 10 picks so far, and WR Bruce Bullard this year was my highest selection ever at 5. MKnight82
*TRADE* BUF Bills Receive QB C Creese (81) ARI Cardinals Receive Bills 1st Round Pick The Bills biggest need is QB as their current starter is 71 OVR. Creese was solid but I was never going to offer him an expensive contract extension, so why not move him now. In a corresponding move I signed FA QB Rodd Thomson (67) to the roster. QB Tracy Lacy will start the rest of the season. Edited January 4, 2020 by MKnight82
MKnight82
*TRADE* BAL Ravens Receive ROLB R Lewis (78) ARI Cardinals Receive Ravens 3rd Round Pick Lewis is a former 1st round pick who has underachieved and is up for a new contract. He wants over $6 mil per year and I'm not going to give him that. Might as well get something for him now, this seems fair for a former first rounder. He's 27 years old. In a corresponding move I stole ROLB Clifford Boothe (70) off of the Falcons PS. Edited January 4, 2020 by MKnight82
MKnight82
CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS LG Martin McCartney (70) - 4 years, $1.5 mil salary, $320k SB, $1.26 Y1 cap hit - $7.08 mil Total Contract - I signed him as an UDFA this year he's only 22 years old. This is like a free draft pick. RE Josh Baas (70) - 4 years, $1.2 mil salary, $450k SB, $1.19 Y1 cap hit - $6.4 mil Total Contract - Another 22 year old UDFA, he's a solid backup. RT Kurt Sampson (70) - 4 years, $1.2 mil salary, $450k SB, $1.19 Y1 cap hit - $6.4 mil Total Contract - Also a UDFA, he's 23 though. I can develop all of these guys for a few years then they can become solid trade bait down the line. QB Rodd Thomson (68) - 2 years, $2.0 mil salary, $400k SB, $2.1 Y1 cap hit - $4.7 mil Total Contract - I have to have some QBs on the roster next year. Thomson is only 25 years old and this is a pretty cheap contract for a QB. QB Tracy Lacy (68) - no offer - I keep bringing him back but not extending him. He's 32 though so he's going to regress. DT Ronnie Tucker (74) - 3 years, $2.5 mil salary, $950k SB, $2.79 Y1 cap hit - $10.2 mil Total Contract - He's currently my starter, which is bad. He's 26 years old, he's worth keeping around until I find a replacement. LE Nicholas Matlock (73) - 4 years, $2.5 mil salary, $1.20 mil SB, $2.78 Y1 cap hit - $14.6 mil Total Contract - I inherited Matlock from the previous regime, he was a 4th round pick in 2028. He has star development and has gained 10 level since I joined the team. He's a good rotational backup, I need to start spreading out his leveling though because he's lopsided as a power rusher right now. He's still only 24. HB Jeffrey Gordon (69) - no offer - I didn't draft Gordon, and I have 3 other good RBs. ROLB Rashaud Bell (68) - no offer - He'll be 28 next year. WR Rashaud Anthony (67) - no offer - He's already 26 and not very fast.

MKnight82
TEAM STATS - YEAR 13 (Year to Year Change) Total Offensive Yards - 17th (+12) Passing Yards - 21st (+2) Rushing Yards - 6th (+13) Points Per Game - 14th (+15) Total Yards Allowed - 23rd (-2) Passing Yards Allowed - 22nd (-1) Rushing Yards Allowed - 27th (-12) Points Allowed - 31st (-23) Sacks - 11th (+13) INTs - 11th (+11) The offense in total was a hair better, but the running get was definitely better. The defense made some big plays but gave up a ton of points. Not surprising because I'm still missing some major pieces on defense like a NT and a ton of Linebackers. LE Heath Harmon went OFF for 15 sacks in his 2nd year. Very impressive. Hopefully he will increase to Star dev as right now he's only Normal. WR Bullard had a pretty good rookie year but I would have liked to have seen more TDs. TE Price had a better year than last year. FS Acosta had 2 defensive TDs! Rookie ROLB Slate contributed 6.5 sacks as a rookie which isn't bad. Then there's the bad. HB Silver didn't have a great year, with a 3.6 ypc carry, under 1,000 yards and only 2 TDs. My line isn't terrible, that is not a good indictment on him. DT Turner contributed 5 sacks, but his primary responsible is run stuffing and he barely had any tackles.
