Dr LBC Posted December 26, 2019 Share Posted December 26, 2019 Why do people think that changing Waldron out changes the offense much if any? McVay is still the architect and still the play-caller. It's not a new OC we need, it's someone that's more a special assistant or consultant - and that would require both the right opportunity (i.e. that veteran-type coach being between gigs) and McVay actually have the connection to reach out (and the introspection to realize he might need that outside POV, which I'm not convinced he's reached yet).
