Yeah, I thought it was a typical social media thing. Burns will say he wants it there but then change his tune if the UFC doesn't offer him the money he wants. Same stupid **** that Nate Diaz is doing with his Poirier nonsense.
DreamKid
I liked 'Bobby Knuckles' strategy of immediately ceding ground and letting Izzy reestablish range after landing effective strikes on him. That really disrupts the game of dominant and lengthy strikers who excel at controlling range. Bailing on advantageous grappling/control positions was lit too. /End Sarcasm

BullsandBroncos
One of the most boring fights I've watched in a long time. Most boring since Adesanya Romero. Coincidence? Jan laid the blueprint so now Izzy has become a backup n jab fighter. And if you can do that for 5 rounds when you're the champ, you'll never lose the belt. Rob definitely wasn't robbed but he was still way more active and had about 4 minutes of control time on top but no damage or submission attempts. Maybe Alex Perreira can save us. But he's boring so I'm glad he lost lol Isnt that kind of contradictory? He’s boring but almost got the finish?

Got to be able to control him on the ground, but there is no size difference in this fight and Whittaker could still be shook from the first fight. That narrative is overblown. He showed that if you can be 20 pounds heavier on fight day you can get him down and keep him there
JaguarCrazy2832
Cannonier have a shot vs Izzy?
DreamKid
Prime Weidman would've starched Izzy imo. Really bad matchup. Old Weidman had the wrestling pedigree, was great at cutting off the cage/pressuring high level strikers, had decent power, and the submission game. Pretty big MW too. Interesting to think about who wouldn't be champion if another fighter debuted at a different time. We're at the stage too where we've had multiple modern era champions in most weight classes, so it's not an automatic that the newest champion would torch the previous old guard champions because of some skill gap newer MMA training methodologies/advancements have brought. Who are some of the previous champions that you guys think could take the strap from the current title holders? Or what are some other interesting 'time travel' championship fights? Prime BJ Penn vs Charles would be crazy fun. Volkanovski's defensive boxing probably would've given him more of a shot against 145 McGregor than Aldo or the other guys had. Great chance Yan disrupts the Cruz/Dilashaw/Gardbrant era entirely. Would be awesome if there was a good UFC video game where you could explore these hypothetical matchups. Unfortunately all we get is EA trash. 😢

BullsandBroncos
Great now we get to see Islam walk through another kick boxer. Bobby Green is stepping in for Dariush. pretty sure the Dagestanis sabotage fights against anyone that poses a threat to them.
BullsandBroncos
I could see Cannonier beating Izzy. Not by decision though. Izzy cant be beaten by decision because he's adopted the Floyd strategy of backing up and throwing jabs. I've never seen such an exciting fighter become so boring to watch.
