FinneasGage
its always one of the most surreal feeling seeing a guy that's never really been stunned bad in MMA get KOd hard as **** in another sport pre-UFC that i didn't know about

Figueiredo lifting up Moreno and his belt was one of the better displays of sportsmanship I’ve seen. Decided to watch last night after tuning the UFC out for the last 6-7 years. Why do people like to hate Izzy?

Based on nothing but what I saw last night vettori may be the biggest cry baby I’ve seen in a sport. Makes post-sack Tom Brady look stoic af. Idk what everyone expected? Nate is as durable as they come. Leon bloodied him up real good. Getting rocked wasnt ideal but Usman got dropped by Burns and no one is clamoring for that rematch

From lowest seed on TUF, loses R1 of the competition to UFC champ over the scariest dude to ever be in that division. No disrespect to MM but Figgy was by far the scariest

Soggust
Thoughts on 263 - Dominate performance by Adesanya. People love to hate on him bc he talks **** (that's fair), but he's clearly gifted and an absolute pleasure to watch if you are a fan of MMA. Vettori looked great coming into this and could not do anything to Izzy. That's not a coincidence. Izzy is just really good and, while his TDD may not be perfect, it's certainly good (not even considering the lack of experience). Been a fan of Moreno since his early days even though I thought he would lose. His grappling reminds me of Michelle Waterson in that they are both super scrappy and underrated and force a ton of scrambles, which is entertaining to watch. The way he locked in that body triangle so quickly after jumping the back was smooth af. Edwards tooled Diaz. I don't buy the narrative that "Diaz wins a street fight". Edwards doesn't coast in a street fight. This fight was exactly what we thought it was and one punch doesn't change that as much as I like Diaz. Edwards deserves a chance at Usman (after Colby is fine I guess) and anything lesser is criminal at this point. With no retirement speech, I'm assuming Maia goes to Bellator? Which is good if he can find a win or two to end such a great career on. Otherwise, a little disappointed we didn't get a gloves-in-ring moment. Other than that, this fight was exactly what everyone expected. Craig is becoming a serious threat in the light heavy division. I still feel like he's too one-dimensional and I wonder what's going to happen when he gets the Damien Maia treatment and people stop playing into his guard. Also, major props to Hill for eating that dislocation without crying his eyes out in pain haha. Just proves I was meant to be a fan, not a participant. Like Conor his power doesn't really translate against bigger opponents but he has the cardio and overall game to still go 5 rounds and beat guys. That's something 12 hours ago, BayRaider said: Izzy has become a bit of a decision master as champion. Still gets a TKO every once in a while, but Izzy by Unanimous Decision is a good vegas bet any fight. Izzy only has 4 KO's in 11 UFC fights and they came against Rob Wilkinson (cut immediately after), Derek Brunson, Robert Whittaker, and Paulo Costa. Then he KO'd an old Johnny Hendrix and Uriah Hall. The Romero fight was okay for the first round but both guys were absolutely gassed out and he didn't finish him. NYRaider
Also hilarious that despite losing Diaz was still the biggest winner of the night. The Diaz bros don't lose fights, they just run out of time.
