Give Me Five!! I have Spoken...

Recommended Posts

Hotep good Brothers,

Salutations to all of the Amateur Scouts out there, of them I count myself as 1.

It's that time of year, where with a whole year of film, and the Sr. Bowl/East West games in the Books. I understand there is the Combine and Cocaine Charges coming up, that there may be a reshuffling of the list of the top 75....but one SHOULD have their top 5 prospects locked in at this point.

Now Regardless of Position, projection and rank.....who are your TOP 5 Prospects for the 2020 draft.

For me it simple:

1. Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn
Height: 6-4. Weight: 322

2. Chase Young*, DE, Ohio State
Height: 6-5. Weight: 265

3. Jeff Okudah*, CB, Ohio State
Height: 6-1. Weight: 200

4. Isaiah Simmons*, OLB, Clemson
Height: 6-3. Weight: 230

5. Joe Burrow*, QB, LSU
Height: 6-4. Weight: 216.

Who'Ya'Got????

Top-5 players I would leave helpless in a ditch to die a slow painful death:

1. Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

2. Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

3. Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

4. Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

5. Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

🤔

Seems excessive, but okay.

These are my five as well; however, Young and Okudah are the only two I would select over the top tackle and not think twice.

I would then entertain a major move that may involve our '21 1st to move up for an LT, though, but I'd be fine with it if we got Young or Okudah and a guy like Wills.

The question is how much of that the first time around was apart of their rebuild strategy. Wonder what 'analytics' look like when you are no longer in desperate asset accumulation mode

Still going to be some shedding of contracts, but not as severe as 2016.  There are assets opening up next year, with Vernon's 15.5 expiring and Richardson's 13.6 has an easy 1.6 cap hit.

But that secondary has some pretty big contracts for guys that have fairly small roles.

False.

They traded up for David Njoku, Howard Wilson and Rod Johnson in 2017.

I knew what you meant, but we nerds love to argue technicalities.

Technically, a specific is a technicality.

Technicality implies specialization, which we are not.
