No doubt.

In this window of inflated transfer fees, there's also been some great bargains:

  • Keite Balde to Monaco for £28m.
  • Andriy Yarmolenko to Dortmund for £23m.
  • Javier Hernandez to West Ham for £16m.
  • Blaise Matuidi to Juventus for £18m.
  • Ricardo Rodriguez to AC Milan for £14m.

The value is still out there if clubs are willing to look for it.

Man City have made their move - £50m offer for Sanchez turned down by Arsenal.

Sure they'll come back with another offer.

In a market where Danny Drinkwater is worth 40m and Johnny Evans is worth 30m, that would be a steal.

Arsenal are running the real risk of losing him for nothing though. I'm almost convinced Sanchez wants out and if Arsenal won't sell him this summer I reckon he'll leave anyway.

Had this discussion with someone at work today.

Do you think English teams aren't looking, or do you think they are quoted double?

I'm leaning towards the fact that English Clubs don't rate these players enough to sign them.

Dortmund just sold Dembele for over £100m. Kiev could surely ask for as much as possible for Yarmolenko. They know they have money.

How much money have Monaco made this summer? Again Lazio could have driven up the price for Balde.

I don't see how clubs could get away with charging two different prices.

A lot of reports suggesting City is not interesting in including Sterling in any deal for Sanchez. It's a deal that I struggle to imagine will get completed. The outrage from Arsenal fans would be insane.

0 chance Sterling will go to Arsenal. He left Liverpool because he wanted to win the Premier League. I would be shocked if he ends up at Arsenal

I think the teams get fixated on a player and don't do enough research to find a similar replacement and have the **** it money to just spend the money on the player they want.

BBC reported he's apparently interested in moving back to London. He would be guaranteed a starting role at Arsenal too.
