Shanedorf
From PackersWire In polling of 50 personnel in the NFL done by ESPN, Alexander landed just outside the top 10 and was named as an honorable mention pick at cornerback. By this time next year, Alexander – an athletic, confident and energetic corner who doesn’t back down from the challenge of covering No. 1 receivers – could find himself considered among the league’s best at the position. https://packerswire.usatoday.com/2020/07/16/top-10-ranking-on-the-horizon-for-packers-cb-jaire-alexander/ Scoring Alexander at 18 + the added draft capital is such a huge win Edited July 17, 2020 by Shanedorf

I'm not saying he's developed, I'm just saying he has the potential, especially if he gets comfortable with bump and run. But he didn't nothing both outside zone in college,.and never was really even asked.to do much back petalling, that's extremely raw. We'll see where he is at this year. Sorry, didn't mean that to sound like I was disagreeing with you, was directed more toward Pettine's comments and just a general discussion of them. My point was mostly that the issue with getting Jackson on the field is that he just isn't a special talent other than the ball skills. He's going to struggle to force his way into a starting role, because his coverage skills, tackling, size, etc. just doesn't separate him in any way. Plus, on top of that, the issue keeping him off of the field at CB is the same issue that would cripple him at any position. The game moves at warp speed for him; he's fully reactive instead of proactive, and that's how you give up big plays at any position. Chasing your responsibility across the field is easily one of the most panic-inducing moments in sports, right behind chasing your responsibility down the field. That being said though, no reason to give up on the guy in the next two years. He's playing hard on specials and is actually a pretty nice gunner/jammer on punt, which is what you hope to see and will guarantee him a spot on the team. Hopefully he can just keep grinding and find a way to start putting those ball skills to work while he does it.

Shanedorf
from SI on Raven Greene https://www.si.com/nfl/packers/news/ranking-the-packers-no-30-raven-greene "Last season, according to Sports Info Solutions, the Packers lined up with six-plus defensive backs on 52 percent of the snaps. That was the highest percentage in the league by a wide margin, with Baltimore a distant second at 43 percent. In other words, Green Bay’s base defense isn’t the 3-4. It’s not even nickel, which has become practically the NFL’s universal base defense. It’s dime, with a safety filling the role as the second inside linebacker. " Greene won the dime linebacker job in training camp last summer and played a big role with 56 snaps in the defensive masterpiece that was the Week 1 upset at Chicago. However, he suffered an ankle injury in Week 2 against Minnesota and didn’t play again. With his bulk and athleticism, Greene is a natural for the dime role. And with Ibraheim Campbell unsigned, Greene will enter training camp as the clear front-runner for that key job.
