I honestly don't think he's a #1 D. With the right partner he can certainly play on the top pairing but he can't carry a pair. There's also been some rumblings that he's kind of a diva. He absolutely should not be playing on the PP but I think they were afraid of causing issues by removing him off of PP1. I think Provy/Ellis would have been a decent top pairing but it's looking more and more like Ellis won't play for the Flyers again. We don't have **** to replace him, but I would rather keep Sanheim than Provorov at this point if we could only keep one.
