pf9
If the NFL utilized the reverse mirror for Sunday afternoon games on CBS and Fox, additional games carried by those networks could be seen in each market on CBS Sports Network (or if they wanted wider distribution, Paramount Network) and Fox Sports 1. This should be put in the next TV contract, and upon the inevitable expansion of the playoffs to 16 teams, it would be utilized in the early time slots in the first round. With that in mind, if the reverse mirror was being used this year, here are some notable choices for the games that would be put on cable in some markets, starting with Week 1:CBS/CBSSN or PN Burlington/Plattsburgh: Dolphins-Patriots on CBS, Jets-Bills on cable (the market straddles both Upstate New York and New England) All Florida non-primary markets outside West Palm Beach: Markets receiving Dolphins-Patriots on CBS would get the Colts-Jaguars game on the affiliated cable network, and vice versa All Ohio non-primary markets outside Dayton: These markets would carry the Browns-Ravens game on CBS and the Chargers-Bengals game on cable Louisville: Browns-Ravens on CBS due to the popularity of Lamar Jackson, while Colts-Jaguars is chosen for cable due to the proximity of Indianapolis to Louisville (although Cincinnati is also close by, the Colts had a better record in 2019)Fox/FS1 Early Marquette, MI: Packers-Vikings on Fox and Bears-Lions on FS1, as market has substantial fanbases for both the in-state Lions and the closer PackersFox/FS1 Late All markets: As there are only two games in the late Fox slot, FS1 would carry the reverse mirror of both games across the nation. I will post these every week.
pf9
Week 2 CBS Early All non-primary markets in Florida would get both Jaguars-Titans and Buffalo-Miami as their reverse mirror games CBS Late Only 2 games in slot, thus reverse mirror would give both games nationwide exposure Fox Duluth-Superior gets Vikings-Colts game on Fox and Lions-Packers game on FS1 Markets straddling GA-NC/SC border get Falcons-Cowboys and Panthers-Buccaneers as reverse mirror games Hartford gets Panthers-Buccaneers on Fox and 49ers-Jets on FS1
