It’s mostly gonna be handoffs and relatively easy reads, boots, etc. That’s what I’d like to see them working through this season and ironing out, not changing what we do as a franchise for one dude mid season. Come the off-season scrap what you need to and rebuild the offense around what Watson is comfortable and how this team operates best. Hopefully he does. My fear is that in 2 games, we've seen an entirely different playbook, which is worrisome to me and I think is foreshadowing. Perhaps it's not, but I don't think we're going to see the same system going forward.

We just need a home run hitter.
candyman93
Zer’Han Newton of Illinois is really intriguing. He turned 20 in August, is very athletic, and competes his butt off every snap.

MSURacerDT55
I hope Berry gets creative in acquiring more picks because I think we don't have enough to cover the holes we have.

Gimme some trade downs just like last year. I want like a dozen picks and let’s see what sticks.
brownie man
I know we really need picks but man if there were a way we could trade up for JSN he’s got the skill set out offense is lacking. He fits that explosive slot weapon perfect. Probably not possible but man he’s got the skill set we need.

Our WR group isn't bad enough to trade what few of our little assets we have left to go get one. I would be furious if we did that and didn't address the gaping holes we have elsewhere. LETSGOBROWNIES
It’s that time of the year for me to post this for the millionth time I guess. https://www.vox.com/2014/5/7/5683448/how-nfl-teams-ignore-basic-economics-and-draft-players-irrationally tldr is that teams who draft well just draft more often. The hit rate from the best to the worst teams is within like 10%.
candyman93
Our WR core is not fine. We’re 1 ACL tear away by Cooper or DPJ from having practice squad caliber WR core.

I agree, but trading multiple picks for one prospect with one year of production who missed all of 2022 and who has average physical traits doesn’t seem ideal to me. If this dude played anywhere but tOSU we wouldn’t be having this discussion.

Gimme a dude who’s 6’2, 220 and can run and jump and make contested catches.
