That’s what happens when a slew of players opt out for the season and you have no offensive skill position players to speak of. Tom Brady was their offense. How do you think the teams would have fared last season had our respective QBs swapped teams? My guess is the Pats would’ve gone 6-10 and we would’ve gone 12-4 with a deep run in the playoffs. I think the records would be near the same if you flip-flopped them. Dak played better than Brady last year; on par at worst. The Pats won games because of their defense. The Cowboys lost games because their defense/special teams/etc. Winning in the NFL is most reliant on 1. your QB playing efficient and 2. Your defense making the other teams QB inefficient. The Pats could do #2, we couldnt. You see Mahomes have a not so great game, but his defense/special teams are able to do enough/make plays to bail him out.
