I'm not sure if the USSF would go for another foreign name so soon after Jurgen but these are 2 high profile names. I just can't see either of those guys getting the position. Allardyce would probably fit the style of play best but I just can't USSF making that hire.

Haven't followed Blanc closely enough to really comment on him, but just from a PR perspective alone I think Sam has 0 chance.

Blanc is a worse PR nightmare than Sam. Blanc tried to set a cap on Arab and African players for the French national team.
amac
Probably the best American pundit. Don't know how qualified he is but he sounds reasonable
LeeEvans
Okay so the thing I'm must upset about not making the WC is missing out on a sweet retro jersey. Some of these throwback designs are pretty awesome, definitely buying a German shirt and maybe a Colombia one.
SalvadorsDeli
Quote U.S. ROSTER BY POSITION (Club; Caps/Goals): GOALKEEPERS (3): Jesse Gonzalez (FC Dallas; 0/0), Bill Hamid (Midtjylland/DEN; 3/0), Ethan Horvath (Club Brugge/BEL; 1/0) DEFENDERS (7): John Brooks (Wolfsburg/GER; 32/3), Cameron Carter-Vickers (Sheffield United/ENG; 0/0), Eric Lichaj (Nottingham Forest/ENG; 13/1), Matt Miazga (Vitesse/NED; 3/1), Tim Ream (Fulham/ENG; 26/1), Jorge Villafaña (Santos Laguna/MEX; 14/0), DeAndre Yedlin (Newcastle United/ENG; 48/0) MIDFIELDERS (7): Kellyn Acosta (FC Dallas; 16/1), Tyler Adams (New York Red Bulls; 0/0), Alejandro Bedoya (Philadelphia Union; 65/2), Lynden Gooch (Sunderland/ENG; 2/0), Weston McKennie (Schalke/GER; 0/0), Kelyn Rowe (New England Revolution; 3/1), Danny Williams (Huddersfield Town/ENG; 22/2) FORWARDS (4): Juan Agudelo (New England Revolution; 26/3), Dom Dwyer (Orlando City SC; 3/2), C.J. Sapong (Philadelphia Union; 2/0), Josh Sargent (St. Louis Scott Gallagher; 0/0) Squad for the friendly against Portugal. Excited to see Sargent and McKinnie in there. Jonathan Gonzalez not getting called up is a bit of a worry. Seems it might just be because of Liga MX playoffs, it's hopefully not a sign that he's having second thoughts on representing us rather than Mexico. So glad that they're finally giving youth a chance and guys like Lichaj finally being called up. We just need to give in to a youth movement and let the young guys have their chance. Heimdallr
Agudelo , Sapong and Dwyer over Christian Ramirez is just moronic. Especially Sapong.
amac
I don't think Ream should be a factor at all this cycle, and I guess there were no young left backs worth calling up. Can't really complain much with that squad though
PAW
I would've liked to seen a little stronger squad just so the young guys had a fair crack. I haven't looked at Portugal's squad (but saw Ronaldo is out) but putting a bunch of prospects on the field at the same time isn't really fair to them to prove themselves. rcon14
I think this roster is a proper mix of the young guys who are going to be key players in this next cycle with some veterans to keep it from being a youth squad.
