10 SG Darrel Moreland 20 6'6" 211 6'6" Kansas 4 74 A-

McCaw looks pretty legit.  There are several players with high potential ratings in this class but not a lot of high OVRs.

TRADE DEADLINE UPDATE

I am 27-26 at the deadline, 6th in the East and 8.5 games behind the 1st place.  I'm only 1.5 games ahead of the 9 seed, but also somehow on 0.5 games out of 2nd place in the East, so this is going to be a tight race to the playoffs.

*TRADE*

Pelicans Receive

C Louie Hudson (76)

2027 Pistons 2nd Round Pick

Pistons Receive

2029 Pelicans 1st Round Pick (top 3 protected)

SF Kelan Martin (74)

Hudson has fallen out of my rotation and I have Sudin coming over next year.  Martin is 31 years old and expiring.

End of the Season – Year 7

Final Record 43-39, 2nd place in the East! This is my 2nd best record yet but the highest seed I've had in the East.  I did finish a full 15 games behind the 76ers though.

Season Stats

Season Stats - Year 7
Points Per Game Rebounds Per Game Assists Per Game Steals Per Game Blocks Per Game
SG Alec Vernie 28.2 C Willard Forbes 14.2 PF Tom Arthur 4.8 PG Donte Elliot 1.5 PF Tom Arthur 1.9
C Willard Forbes 13.7 PF Tom Arthur 7.4 PG Donte Elliot 4.0 SF Samuel Rose 1.4 C Willard Forbes 1.1
SG Antonio Madison 12.7 PF Omer Kerimoglu 5.3 SG Alec Vernie 3.7 PF Tom Arthur 1.0 PF Omer Kerimoglu 0.7

Vernie was 3rd in the league in scoring.  Still no one else has stepped up as a 2nd option, but Rose and Arthur are really young.  Forbes was 7th in the league in Rebounds, he seems like he was a good pickup.  Assists are still terrible across the board.  Arthur had a surprising amount of blocks for a rookie, he was 7th in the league.

Since the plan is to move Vernie to PG and you'll be outside of the lottery, I'd package those two 1sts to move up and get the best offensive SG you can target, ideally someone with A/A+ 3 pt shooting.

Forbes OVR may not be super high, but I don't know how Sundin breaks the starting lineup when you rely that much on Forbes for rebounding.  And it's not like you can sit Arthur.  He'll get plenty of minutes within the rotation though, but not starting might chaff his chemistry.
