Probably, but flushing 10M down the drain seems worse to me... I'd rather load talent around whoever they put at QB and put pressure on them to succeed. One thing we know about Fitzpatrick lead offenses, they move the ball through the air. We won't be checking the ball down to McKissic as a #1 option. Still, a legit threat at TE (Guy from Florida) and a tackling machine at MLB are what is needed. Cheap contract, good tape, even time at LT last year. It won't make sense to resign him. So we either run out his contract or trade him now. 2nd rounder. Tim Settle- I think he plays both schemes, but maybe a 3-4 team looking for a nose. 4th. Troy Apke- Anyone? Late rounder. Caleb Brantley- Crowded position group, but he has some tape. Late rounder. Brandon Scherff- Can't imagine anyone wanting him, but get something if you can because we aren't signing Payne and Scherff next offseason.
