Broncofan Posted June 25, 2021 Share Posted June 25, 2021 (edited) Well, the Clippers outworked the Suns, and the Suns had no one clicking on O except Ayton, but that doesn't work if the Suns outside shooters aren't keeping the Clippers honest. CP3 rust was very possible - but compounding this was an off night from Booker, and Payne getting hurt. Payne's injury is key, because with him, the Suns can go uptempo for 48 minutes, with 3 guys able to run the O. Today, with CP3 sluggish and no Booker, the Clippers could key on Booker. Full credit to the Clippers, they outclassed the Suns tonight. The wakeup call to PHX has to be how much they were outworked. I wonder if that mask bothered Booker. He was terrible all night. Payne's healthy (effective) return is crucial IMO. CP3 is just slow. The whole game was moving too fast for him tonight and he's not a "shoot first" concern - so the Clips D can play off him some - contest the inevitable pass. As a true Los Anglenian I hate the Clippers, unlike fake LA native @TheRealMcCoy who loves them, but if they win the title it does make us look better cause none of y'all could beat them without Kawhi either, lol.
