What a fall from grace for both of these guys. Both former top 5 picks who were All-Stars multiple times and looked like potential max contract players. Now they're struggling to get minimum deals, but at least they both have made around $100M in their careers, so f it.

As for Dinwiddie, they’re taking hard line with Wizards. They don’t want to take back big bucks player. But ultimately they’re not going to stand in the way of him getting paid. Crunchtime is Friday when Westbrook trade can become official. Do they get into it?

Dinwiddie also looks to have screwed himself. Didn't he say he'd play for the Lakers on a discount?

Reggie Jackson also kind of screwed himself, Boston is reportedly interested but can only offer the tax-payer MLE. No one has the cap space to pay him anymore, lol.

They have his bird rights, so they can sign him up to max.

The Lakers are already $10M into the luxury tax with a $16M tax bill. But if they were to sign Schroder for even $10M it would put them in the $3.75 tier which would raise their tax bill significantly. IIRC $10M for Schroder would cost Jeanie like $37M in fees, lol.

The Lakers are done with Schroder.  They apparently haven't even tried to discuss a S&T with other teams.

And for teams $20,000,000 over the cap or above, the tax rate is $3.75 for every dollar over the cap, and increasing $0.50 for each additional $5,000,000 over $20,000,000.

Is this correct? If so a Schroder deal would cost the Lakers like $37M, lol.
