We traded down twice to get down into the 40s with multiple second and third rounders. Then Davis fell to 33 so I traded our '23 1st and pick #118 straight up for it, keeping the later pick. Then Brandon Smith fell to #66 and I traded our '23 2nd straight up. Since we only signed Gallup, cut a few prominent players and let a lot of guys like Njoku walk, I could see fitting pretty much all these guys. We probably have one or two too many in the secondary, but we've been short on guys and could see us cutting a few there, maybe just rolling with extra guys, as well as at edge.

AkronsWitness
The good news is that the Browns needs are clearly defined so that makes it somewhat easier. Needs Tier Ranking T1- WR, LB T2- DT, C T3- OG, OT, CB Out LBs are the jaggiest jags in the world. They could all be replaced by traffic cones tomorrow and I wouldnt even notice. Is there any real difference in Smith, Walker, Phillips, Mack and Takitaki? They are all just interchangeable pieces of C- level players. NudeTayne
So this just happened and thought I'd share. Our analytics dept. must have put out a gasmask video on Evan Neal because he fell to 18. The rest of the draft was pretty sexy as well: **sign Michael Gallup** **cut Jarvis Landry, Hooper post June 1st** **Keenum gone and we go with a 3-QB room, like all teams should** **Njoku walks** **trade '23 1st to get a sliding Tyler Linderbaum, with the plan to trade JC Tretter and start Linderbaum on the cheap, free up money to extend guys** 18. Evan Neal OT Alabama 33. Tyler Linderbaum OC Iowa 58. Jahan Dotson WR Penn State 78. Zach Harrison EDGE Ohio State 94. Will Levis QB Kentucky 97. Chad Muma LB Wyoming 140. Sam LaPorta TE Iowa 145. Basically, if NJoku is retained, Hooper is gone. If Njoku signs elsewhere, Hooper is likely back for one more year.

That said, folks round here know I'm a Baker supporter and believe him to be the guy. In this particular scenario, it comes down to a guy I see as a top 10-15 talent falling to pick 33 and him being worth a '23 first to get a year early. I think we could get at least a third for Tretter or redshirt/use as IOL depth Linderbaum for year-1. Yes, this would make it harder to draft a QB, agreed. I just hope we don't need one. Also, fwiw, I think Levis has starter potential and isn't much different than the other guys in the draft. Also, welcome to the forum! Watching Will Levis is like Watching a smaller Josh Allen, I'm not sure what his intentions are regarding the draft this year, I know he has another year of eligibility. He runs a similar scheme that we run. There wouldn't be a huge transition from college to pro.

I still think Baker is the guy but would love a backup with actual talent who could potentially start if needed, at least push Baker. Some competition might do the trick
