I remember him being touted as the next dynamic all-around safety. Never really came to fruition.

He looked like he was starting to become a good safety his second year with Cleveland. Not sure how good or bad he's been with the Giants, though.

Played great last year, but started off really slow this year until the last 2 weeks.

This is the 3rd Giants captain to be out for the year (Nick Gates had his leg destroyed, Blake Martinez tore his ACL, and now Peppers). Brutal.

many teams getting absolutely shredded by major injuries. Oof.

Probably good for them though as it will secure them a high draft pick and they'll surely can use it. (that is, if they let go of Gettleman)

He's gone after the year is up. The problem is we will probably replace him with Kevin Abrams, our assistant GM, who is just about the same guy.

Peppers was looking like a candidate to be dealt at the deadline. Logan Ryan is paid, Xavier Mckinney is on the 2nd year of his rookie deal, and we have Julian Love on the roster. Obviously, he can't get moved now. This has been ramifications for Peppers in FA this year. I can't imagine he'll get a long term deal with anyone now; he's probably looking at a 1 year prove it deal with someone (probably not the Giants).

Another week, another big dent in the Giants roster. This was probably Peppers' last year with us anyway, and the injury will make him less marketable to other teams.

But we'll remember him as a good soldier on defense, and for his "we want that MFer!!" moment in the Saints game. I wish him a smooth recovery.
