Did you read it?  It literally says it did not involve sex.

The newspaper also reports that during the team's official cheerleader calendar shoot, women were reportedly told to remove their clothes in front of male sponsors even though the calendar didn't include nude photos.

So they didn’t force the women into sex, just sex work… not exactly a silver lining.

Read the other posts.  The poster said they made woman act as “escorts”, I said I had heard about the nude photo scandal but not this supposed escort stuff.

If they were crying before they were supposed to go out with old men, i think it is reasonable to infer something else was happening beyond just being friends

What they did was disgusting but you’re not describing it accurately at all.  They didn’t force anyone to prostitute themselves.

They made women pose nude in front of men who paid to watch what the women were told was a clothed photo shoot, then they made some of those women go on “dates” and “escort” strange men around the resort with no type of security or strategy to keep the women safe.

I think getting hung up on “But there was no penetration!” is grossly missing the point

The WFT forced their cheerleaders into sex work in a foreign country, while holding their passports as collateral, and threatening termination if they didn’t cooperate.

“they didn’t rape them” is not a redemption story.

Yes that is what they did, it’s disgusting and the GM has been fired. Dan Snyder needs to be forced out as well.

How was it human trafficking?

1) take women to foreign country under the guise of legitimate work

2) take their passports for “safe keeping” or “company policy”

3) change the rules, the legitimate work is now sex work (stripping/dates/romantic companionship etc it doesn’t have to be intercourse)

4) women can’t leave without passports or without losing their job or facing other repercussions, they are literally being forced/coerced (whichever you prefer) into sex work

its textbook the most common form of trafficking, it’s not all Liam Neeson kicking *** and taking names

According to The Department of Homeland Security: “Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. “
