We haven't scored 20 or more points since Week 9. Don't sleep on us ending up with a 8-9 or 9-8 record. Big play still haunts us on defense, Lamar's accuracy is getting more inconsistent, and general offensive execution is seemingly getting worse as well. Whether it's Lamar on read/options, or Freeman/Murray combo. We need something. It's becoming clear as day Lamar is not going to carry this offense passing the ball. Ray Reed Posted December 6, 2021 Share Posted December 6, 2021 Yeah sooooo everyone who was still arguing - for some ungodly reason - “weapons > OL” this week because the OL collapsed in years past in the playoffs anyway...at least we made it to the playoffs those years lol. Where was new weapon Bateman today? Oh right. Lamar couldn’t get the ball out because he’s a completely different player without a good OL in front of him. Lets just put this thing to rest already. AngusMcFife Posted December 6, 2021 Share Posted December 6, 2021 A couple thoughts on the last play: It looks like Andrews slows down when he turns around to look for the ball. He is settling down, whereas Lamar throws it as if he would have kept running. So I can't really say if Lamar missed the throw or Andrews shouldn't have slowed down. They just need to focus on those details in practice. Any plan the involves an unblocked TJ Watt screaming at the QB isn't a good play.
