He wants to get paid like a (the) top safety, but he has strong strong connections with Licht & especially Arians tying back to AZ. Our best chance is that he wants to stick it to KC for picking Reid over him, and signs a 1 year deal with us.

Our interest in Honey badger a few years ago was before we had locked down the FS spot (AWJ). I think the ship has sailed on Mathieu now. I don't think we're prioritizing another safety. We didn't even want to offer Whitehead a smaller deal. I think we're content with what we have at safety between Winfield and Edwards. We may look to draft a box safety, or sign a rotational guy in FA. it won't be Mathieu level though IMO.

That is scraps for what he provided. He is better than Maye and should have been paid that way. Whitehead was a part time safety in the playoffs, right or wrong. They weren t going to pay him. Licht has shown he can draft safeties, that position is probably the least worried about adding depth. Licht will get it done and be fine.
ravishingone
Not sure why this is necessary unless they are trading Miller or Johnson for a day 3 pick.

People need to get over the WR drafting in the early rounds. As long as Brady is here we will be vet heavy in that regard. Perriman as a 4th guy is great depth. Johnson is cut bait at this point because I cant see him beating out Scottie

Godwin and Gage in theory play inside and outside. Miller is strictly a deep threat specialist. Johnson might be the odd man out. Plus, the coaching staff luvs Grayson, so another backup outside. I think drafting a WR at all before the depth rounds is out of the question. With Evans, Godwin, Gage, Perriman, Miller, TJ, Grayson and Darden that's already a lot of mouths to feed and likely 1-2 of those guys get the boot. ravishingone
I would be shocked if this happens. They have no interest in getting more draft capital with a 45 yr old QB.

Scotty, Darden, Cyril are all smaller guys and are in competition with each other for the 5/6 WR spots as a backup Y/Z - I think Perriman and TJ fight for the backup X spot behind Mike.
YoungBucs15
I think we also have to keep in mind that Godwin may very well go on IR to start the season.
eggybucsfan31
Not sure how Greg thinks we’ve “oversigned” at WR. Likely we have 6 on the roster come Week 1. Evans/Godwin/Gage are locks. Miller/Grayson/Perriman/Darden/Johnson battle it out in camp for the last three spots. Seems pretty normal to me.

I would say no, but may be they go with 5 OLBs with Nelson and Nassib being able to play DE in certain personnel. Right now they have 2 DL on the roster, so I m more inclined they re sign Gholston, Suh and a cheap UFA DL over bringing back Nassib. indifference
This is EXACTLY who we need upfront. Quick twitch DT that can pass rush and provide some pressure. And he’s only 28, would be a wonderful depth pickup. Edited March 16, 2022 by indifference
