3rivers
https://www.nfl.com/news/top-15-pittsburgh-steelers-of-all-time-where-does-ben-roethlisberger-rank what would your top 15 be? His order above probably is different than many here, so I thought I would put a post up and see what you think
cjfollett
His list doesn't have Hines Ward or Antonio Brown, but includes some guy from the 50s, who I doubt any of us know of. I also think Ben at #2 is too high. Lists like these are pretty hard to make. Perhaps it should be top 10 per decade? 1. Joe Greene 2. Jack Lambert 3. Mel Blount 4. Franco Harris 5. Terry Bradshaw 6. Jack Ham 7. Mike Webster 8. Rod Woodson 9. Ben Roethlisberger 10. Troy Polamalu 11. Jerome Bettis 12. Hines Ward 13. John Stallworth 14. Lynn Swann 15. Donnie Shell

3rivers
not an easy list to make when Dawson and Lloyd aren't on it. JPN, where are you for this one 🥶

warfelg
Ben should be above Terry Bradshaw. Easily. in fact if Ben was on those 70’s teams he’d have more rings than Brady. Edited February 14, 2022 by warfelg

Steelers were not winning 4 Super Bowls back then without Bradshaw. I'll give you the 1st one, since I think the D mostly won that game. But the last two were definitely Bradshaw. The 2nd one was compete team effort, including a solid performance from Bradshaw. Ben's three Super Bowls: 3 TDs, 5 INTs. I think it is safe to say his teams helped him win more than Bradshaw's teams. Ben has one great drive to win the game versus AZ. Other than that? This is nothing more than blind speculation and is inconsistent with reality if you actually factor in the time periods they played in. First off, it was a completely different era for passing. We have no idea how much better Ben would've faired playing in the 70s compared to the pass friendly era he played in. Secondly, Ben choked in the playoffs numerous times, and it wasnt because of the teams around him. He just blew. Id take playoff Bradshaw over playoff Ben any day. In the end, its hard to really compare them across eras.
