Geezy
would have preferred Ingold, but Johnson's knowledge of the offense will go a long way.
agarcia34
Think size had a lot to do with Ingold getting cut. Expected replacement

Ingold was a pass batter pass catcher than blocker. They needed a blocker, insert Johnson.

jimkelly02
Plus… Ingold would have costed 2.43M as the lowest level tender and that’s a good amount for a FB that will be out for a chunk of the season. And as a UDFA on a original round, right of first refusal contract when Miami offered him 2y, 7.5M we would have had to match it to keep him. So looking back on it our only choice for keeping him would have been to offer a 2nd round that pays 3.986m. I love(d) Ingold but that’s too rich for him even if he wasn’t seriously injured. I’m guessing this new guy whose a bette run blocker makes under 1.5m.
G
Love Ingold but this was what was best with new system/team/management.
