Counter point: the NFL is technically sports entertainment and if Marvel has taught us anything, its that we are a sucker for vigilante justice.

Counter to the counter point.  Vigilantism in Marvel only hits the spot when it's accompanied by a witty one-liner or two.  And none of these NFL mofo's are actually funny, even if they think they are.  Vigilantism and cornball humor lands flat unless you Deadpool.  And none of these guys are Deadpool.

Watch The Batman (because its good, vampire jokes not withstanding)

It's got something to say on vigilante violence and what it inspires.

I'm also here to say that Marvel's message on vigilantism is not "Its great and consequence free!"

Its actually the point of at least 2 movies (Ultron and Civil War)

Its 4 if you consider that Thanos was fighting something he was 99.9% sure was evil (overpopulation)

We don't need a suit of armor around the field (unless its in Houston and has AC)
