Raiders sign DT Veron Butler (1 year deal)

All of those 1st round picks the Panthers used on DTs and not one worked out, huh?

On a DL that lacked consistency and difference makers, Butler still couldn’t get on the field much or make a difference.

I don’t know the state of the Raiders IDL but hopefully they aren’t banking on anything more than a body with Butler. Granted with those DEs that all they really need.

I think I read somewhere that DT's have the highest bust rate.

Looking more like we'll be a 3-4 team, so Jones + Crosby may be standing up more. Although with Graham at DC he keeps saying "the 3/4-4/3 conversation doesn't mean much".

We haven't drafted a good DT in what feels like 20 years. Hopefully Ziegler will do it.

It doesn’t mean much. Staley supposed runs a 34 but it’s more of a 4-2-5.
