Chiefs Receive

WR DK Metcalf (95)

RT Jawaan Taylor (77)

Seahawks Receive

#27 overall pick

#59 overall pick (2)

2026 Chiefs 1st Round Pick

- All of the Chiefs WRs have left in FA and Metcalf gives them a legit #1. Taylor hasn't really worked out here so I threw him in to make the deal work.

FREE AGENCY

DT Malik McDowell (76) - Player Interest GREEN

- 3 year deal, $2.8 mil salary, $4.4 mil SB, $6.81 Y1 cap hit - ACCEPTED

- Bring him back to Seattle where he started.  My pass rush was terrible last year and I'm not sure if I'll be able to upgrade DT in the draft or not.  A'Shawn Robinson didn't work out last year.

QB Jimmy Garoppolo (71) - Player Interest GREEN

- 2 year deal, $1.5 mil salary, $1.7 mil SB, $3.11 Y1 cap hit - ACCEPTED

- I'm signing him so I can trade Drew Lock. Veteran backup.

SS Johnathan Abram (81) - Player Interest RED

- 3 year deal, $3.5 mil salary, $2.4 mil SB, $5.57 Y1 cap hit - ACCEPTED

- He's been kind of a bust with the Raiders but I'm willing to give him a shot. I want to move Barton to slot CB so this actually helps me fill 2 roles in my secondary.

More signings than usual but my team is still really bad after 2 drafts.

I'm working on my draft board now but the game is doing that weird thing where its kicking me out for "inactivity" even though I'm actively doing stuff in the game.  It did that before my first draft and gave me that huge glitch where it wouldn't advance.  So I'll have to wait to tomorrow to do the draft and hopefully the servers will have settled down by then.

2025 NFL DRAFT

nfl-draft-image.jpg

Time to set up the draft board.  The roster still needs everything so I’m going to look at every position.

QB isn’t a first round need but I will consider later prospects as a backup developmental guy. Brook Banks has Elite TP, 21 years old Strong Arm with good size, should be available in Round 3. His accuracy looks good too, he could be pretty good.

There are no elite level HBs worth taking in the first round, and I’m unlikely to spend another 2nd/3rd round pick on one either unless there’s an off the charts guy. Grant Fort looks pretty good, a 3rd/4th round guy.  I think he has to be in consideration but I don’t think I’ll prioritize taking him (although it might be worth taking another stab, if he were to be hidden dev he would probably start). Nasir Lincoln isn’t a great athlete but has good skills and is a projected UDFA, could be targeted really late.

No FBs worth taking.

WR is a big need. WR Joey Kerr is projected to be selected #1 overall in the draft. I have him fully scouted and know that his OVR is top 5 in the entire class. He has great skills, 6’4” 226 size, and ran a 4.34.  He looks fantastic and I need to seriously consider trading up to #1 overall to select him. The other 1st round WRs don’t look so great. Sidney Craig is another Physical WR, only 6’2” 231 though, ran a 4.43, with pretty terrible cone and shuttle times.  He did the top bench press and his vertical looks elite though. He should be available in the 2nd round. Stacey Branch is a slot WR with Round 1 talent but will be available in the 2nd. Ran a 4.43 with good acceleration. Byron Agnew is a Day 3 prospect who ran a 4.42 and would a decent pick late. Carl Patterson is a projected UDFA who ran a 4.31.

I could use another TE after letting Dissley leave. The top TE has great skills but isn’t a good athlete. Mason Hendricks is a good athlete who will likely go in the 2nd round, but I don’t have his skills really scouted at all.  Dakota Batten is a projected Round 3-4 prospect who I prefer over Hendricks cause I think he will be able to block better.

Oline is still a big need. The line needs to protect my QB better if he’s going to be successful.  A good line can also help my RBs out. LT Zachary Cobb is projected to go #2 overall. Its not realistic for me to land both him and WR Joey Kerr, and Kerr is better so I’m leaving Cobb off my board. Paul Covington isn’t a top notch athlete but has high end skills and could be had later in the first round (projected 29 overall).  He could be a really good option for my pick at 27. Lamar Moats is an option with a late round pick.

LG Brett Stewart looks stupid good for a 2nd round pick. Great skills, top notch combine.  He’s one of the best prospects in this class.  He’s a must draft for me in the 2nd round. Shelton Stanley is another Round 2-3 prospect who’s pretty solid, not as good as Stewart though.  If he falls to the 3rd he should be drafted. John Poole is a solid option late.

OC Tim Snell looks great too.  I think LG Stewart looks a little better but Snell is up there too.  I expect he will go in the mid 2nd round. Rahim Tutt is solid too, but Snell is better.  If Tutt falls to the 3rd he should be considered. Stevie Wendell could be taken late and could be solid.

RG Tyrique Smith is pretty solid but is projected to go 11th, which I don’t think he’s worth. Steven Carroll is a Day 3 prospect that has decent skills.

RT Demetrius Freeman had a great combine but is pretty raw in his skills. He should be available in the 2nd round though and could be a great pick. He’s an interesting comparison to LT Covington, he’s basically the opposite, a raw athlete vs the skilled Covington. That’s it for RTs.

DE isn’t an immediate need, but I plan on trading Nwosu eventually, and honestly he hasn’t simmed well.  LE Mitchell Peters is projected to go #5 overall and is a pretty nice prospect. Ran a 4.68, 32 reps, good size with decent skills.  I could take him at 3 if I decided not to trade up for WR Kerr. There are no other LEs worth drafting.

RE Derek Motley is really interesting. Ran a 4.64, 31 reps with top end other athletic measurements, he’s projected to be available with my pick at #23 overall.  He appears to be definitely worth that selection.

I’ve been reluctant to take a DT high because I landed a Superstar Dev DT in my first draft, and honestly in the sims usually only 1 DT plays a lot of snaps. However, Newsome has been a disappointment so far. Saying that, DT Rahim Crawford looks like a monster. Top end athlete, he ran a 4.76 at 295 lbs and did 36 bench reps. He also has solid skills.  He’s the top DT in the class, but for some reason is projected to fall into the 2nd round.  That’s nuts, he’s a must draft in the 2nd. JD Shepherd is projected to go in the 1st, but isn’t nearly as good. Dave Stewart is draftable in the 4th-5th round range, he did an insane 44 bench reps and is 347 lbs. Woah, Emmanuel Upshaw did 46 reps and is 360 lbs!

LOLB Devon Truman is a power rusher projected to go #3 overall but isn’t worth a first round pick imo. Nick Killings is a pass coverage linebacker projected to go in Round 2-3 range, ran a 4.53 with good acceleration and A zone coverage. He’s solid but honestly I’ve taken a bunch of linebackers like him already and he’s pretty small. Carlos Young is draftable in the late rounds.

There are several ROLB projected to go in the first round. None are worth first round picks IMO. Honestly none of the ROLBs look like they are worth drafting other than UDFA Tyrone Harrison who looks solid. Arrington just got Star Dev so I’m cool sticking with him for awhile.

I just gave MLB Brooks an extension but I plan to replace him eventually. Skyler Lockhart is solid but he’s 23 years old. I’d prefer not to spend a first round pick on a 23 year old. Daniel Bowers could be a solid pick in the 5th round. UDFA Franklin Lamb might be worth a stab. Another weak MLB draft class.

CB is probably my deepest position on the roster. Still, I always need depth here. None of the guys projected to go in the first are beastly so I’m going to ignore them. Braxton Reese will probably go in the 2nd and looks pretty good.  Zone CB, could possibly move to FS too (which is a bigger need). Keeshawn Gilmore is raw but a good athlete, Day 3 guy. Matt Middleton is a hair slow but otherwise looks great late.

Both Safety spots are considered needs. I moved Barton to Slot CB full time so I really don’t have starters at either safety position. FS Nathan Burnham is projected to go 22 overall but is undersized and looks like another CB/S hybrid.  Still he’s solid so he’s going on the board. Oscar Esparza would be solid late but Idk if I need any more project safeties. He’s a hybrid so could be depth at CB though. James Reed is an even better athlete. Actually James Reed should probably be targeted as early as Round 4. I think he would make a good CB.

SS John Goodwell is projected to go 12 overall and is a solid athlete but I don’t have him scouted much. He’s another Hybrid safety though, and I’ve been striking out on those. David Hawthorne looks pretty good for an in-the-box safety type, probably a round 2 guy. I don’t mind an in-the-box SS as long as they can cover a little.

Round 5 - 131

Round 6 - 163

Round 7 - 195

That is a lot of draft picks, but I have a terrible roster to fill. My goals for this draft are to upgrade the offensive line, upgrade the defensive line, and get some more offensive playmakers to help my QB. To start, I think I'm going to trade up to #1 overall to take Kerr. Then I'll target RE Motley at 23, and consider trading down from 27 back into the 2nd as there's a lot of talent in the 2nd.

*TRADE*

Texans Receive

#3 overall

CB J Scott (75)

Seahawks Receive

#1 overall

- This trade is not realistic at all but I also don't think a WR going #1 overall is realistic either.  IRL Kerr would go #3 overall.

With the 1st Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

WR Joey Kerr, Iowa

Physical (79), Deep Threat (77), Slot (77), Playmaker (76)

qNd39dj.jpg

- Hidden Dev! 93 speed, only 89 acceleration but his jumping is 93.  His skills are off the charts I hope he's a beast.

Ok I'm hoping Motley falls to 23. The top 10 went exactly like the mock draft so I'm feeling good about Motley falling.   Well crap, Motley was just selected.  I don't really have anyone I absolutely have to have with pick 23.  I think I'm going to consider trading down.

*TRADE*

Texans Receive

#23 overall

Seahawks Receive

#33 overall

2026 Texans 2nd Round Pick

- I trade back to the top of the 2nd and grab a future 2nd that should be pretty good.

I'm on the clock at 27.  LT Paul Covington just went right before my pick even though he was supposed to still be available.  SS Jon Goodwell has fall all the way to 27 even though he was mocked to go at 12.  Weird. I spent a bunch of high picks on the secondary last year though.  My BPA is DT Rahim Crawford who I really like.  I think he's the right pick here.

With the 27th Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

DT Rahim Crawford, Tennessee

Power Rusher (72), Run Stopper (71), Speed Rusher (68)

gJCpTfS.jpg

- Crap, normal dev. Ugh. 78 speed is ok, 89 strength.  He's good but idk if he's first round pick good.  Disappointing.

SS Jon Goodwell went #31 overall, I'm going to be super pissed if he's a superstar.

I'm on the clock at 33.  I have another pick at 35 too so I need to take two prospects here. My BPAs are WR Sidney Craig, SS David Hawthorne, and RT Demetrius Freeman. I'm not sure it makes sense to take another WR so early so I think I'll take the other two. I really need Freeman so I'll target Hawthorne at 35.

With the 33rd Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

RT Demetrius Freeman, Oklahoma

Agile (74), Power (67), Pass Protector (66)

9f7k7w1.jpg

- Normal dev. 90 strength though.  I'm hoping he can start but without hidden dev his upside is limited.

With the 35th Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

SS David Hawthorne, Ohio State

Run Support (72), Hybrid (70), Zone (69)

hgBQILE.jpg

- Hidden dev!  There we go.  Back on track. 87 speed isn't ideal but isn't awful for a Safety.

I'm on the clock again at 46. TE Mason Hendricks was selected by the Colts. OC Tim Snell was selected by the Saints.  No one else from my board was selected before 46.

I'm on the clock at 46. WRs Sidney Craig and Stacey Branch are both still available. CB Braxton Reese is on the board, and I really want LG Brett Stewart sometime soon as well. I don't pick again until late in the 2nd, so a move up with my other pick might be a good idea so I can take two guys here.  Washington has the next pick let me see what they want to trade down.

*TRADE*

Washington Receives

LG D Lewis (79)

Seahawks Receive

#47 overall

- Guard is listed as their biggest need and I plan to draft his replacement anyways. I didn't even have to trade down they did this straight up.

Ok I have back to back picks here.  Obviously Stewart is going to be one cause I just traded away my starter.  I kind of like Braxton Reese, but my goal was to help my QB so maybe I should take another WR.  Between the two, I like Stacey Branch better because I think he gives me something different at the position (a slot WR). Craig would be yet another Physical WR.

With the 46th Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

LG Brett Stewart, USC

Agile (74), Power (69), Pass Protector (66)

EK997k8.jpg

- HIDDEN FREAKING DEV!  Needed that.  Would have hurt to trade away a Star guard for a normal dev guy.  This draft is starting to rebound.  92 strength.  Looks like a great pick.

With the 47th Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

WR Stacey Branch, Washington

Slot (75), Playmaker (74), Deep Threat (72), Physical (65)

5leGR7c.jpg

- Normal dev.  92 speed, 95 acceleration.  Kind of a bummer, I hope he has a high OVR and can contribute right away but he's never going to be a star (honestly I don't need him to be one though).

Well I still have another pick late in the 2nd.  OC Tahim Tutt was drafted by the jags. WR Sidney Craig was just drafted by the Packers.  I guess I could trade up again to target Braxton Reese.

*TRADE*

Panthers Receive

#59 overall (2)

DT A'Shawn Robinson (76)

Seahawks Receive

#52 overall (2)

- DT is listed as their biggest need.  They're only dropping 7 spots and Robinson didn't work out for me last year.

With the 52nd Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

CB Braxton Reese, Virginia Tech

Zone (72), Slot (70), Man to Man (69)

- Hidden dev!  His man coverage sucks so he might move to FS.  Not sure yet.  Either way good pick.  Glad I moved up.

Ok I pick again near the top of the 3rd round.  LG Shelton Stanley, who was my BPA, went right before my pick.  No one else from my board was selected.  BPA right now are LOLB Nick Killings, QB Brooks Banks, HB Grant Fort, and TE Dakota Batten. My next pick isn't until the 30th pick of the 3rd so it's unlikely I will get more than 1 of these. Killings is solid but another Pass Coverage olb isn't a huge need. Banks is pretty good but a backup QB is kind of a luxury pick. I really need Batten, a backup TE is a need and there aren't really other options at TE in this class. If Fort turns out hidden dev he could become a starter. I think I'll take Batten, then maybe sim 10-15 picks and consider a small trade up if Fort drops.

With the 67th Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

TE Dakota Batten, Michigan State

Possession (72), Vertical Threat (71), Blocking (62)

- HIDDEN DEV! That's kind of shocking.  If he ends up a beast he might steal the starting role from Cain.

The Eagles took Killings. Bears took Brooks Banks. He was the 84th ranked prospect and Fort is 95.  Fort could go any time now. The problem is I don't have a lot to trade to move up, I don't want to give up picks at this point.

*TRADE*

Raiders Receive

#94 overall

CB T Pride Jr. (75)

Seahawks Receive

#81 overall

- Raiders pick up some secondary depth for only moving down 13 spots. I'm going to have to take another CB later cause I'm getting low on depth myself.

With the 81st Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

HB Grant Fort, Oregon

Power Back (75), Elusive Back (75), Receiving Back (57)

- HIDDEN DEV!  That's what I'm talking about!  Finally lol.  I've taken a good looking power back in each draft and haven't landed a dev trait one till now. 90 speed, 93 acceleration, 82 strength.  He will start.

Ok my next pick is in the 4th round. Ok cool no one from my board went between 81 and 99. BPA at the moment are DT Dave Stewart, CB Keeshawn Gilmore, WR Byron Agnew, and CB Matt Middleton.  I pick again at 109 so I might be able to land 2 of these. I like DT Upshaw later in the class, so Stewart is out. I've taken two WRs already, so its down to the CBs.  Neither are amazing but CB depth is a need. Actually I think I need to consider RG Steven Carroll too, cause I don't think he will drop to the 5th. I'm going to go with Middleton here, then probably Carroll at 109.

With the 99th Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

CB Matt Middleton, Oregon

Man to Man (71), Slot (70), Zone (67)

- Normal dev and only 89 Speed.  But he has a 6'3" frame and is only 21.  He will make good depth.

Time to sim to 109.  DT Stewart is gone. Gilmore and Agnew are still available but I'm going with Poole.

With the 109th Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

RG Steven Carroll, Georgia

Pass Protector (72), Power (68), Agile (67)

- HIDDEN DEV!!!  Wow.  Game changer.  A hidden dev olineman this late?  Only 87 strength, but 6'5" 305 lb frame.  He might move to RT.  Not sure.

My next pick is near the top of the 5th.

CB Gilmore is still available in the 5th which is kind of weird.  Maybe he's a bust. Agnew is also available....  Dang DT Upshaw is gone, I was probably going to take him. LG Poole is gone, good thing I took Carroll earlier. FS James Reed is kind of a beast, I think I'll take him here and move him to CB. Honestly I think he will be better than Gilmore.

With the 131st Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

FS James Reed, Arkansas State

Hybrid (66), Zone (64), Run Support (64)

tV8DOgM.jpg

- Normal dev but 90 speed 92 acceleration.

I have no more picks in the 5th.  Simming to 6th.  Gilmore is gone. Agnew is gone.

With the 163rd Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

MLB Daniel Bowers, USF

Pass Coverage (63), Field General (63), Run Stopper (62)

N3m1Co2.jpg

- HIDDEN DEV.  In the 6th?  I took him for some depth but wow.  86 speed 87 acceleration.  Wow.

With the 180th Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

WR Carl Patterson, Kansas State

Deep Threat (69), Playmaker (69), Slot (65), Physical (63)

Tl2C9Up.jpg

- Normal dev but 96 speed, 97 acceleration.  Stupid fast.

7th round time.

With the 195th Pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select:

MLB Franklin Lamb, North Carolina

Run Stopper (69), Field General (68), Pass Coverage (64)

xyGqSF6.jpg

- Normal dev.  Linebacker depth.

That wraps this draft.
