And no lawyer is actually going to give you legitimate legal advice on an open forum like this, for free. Several already have. A speeding ticket isn't exactly a complex piece of civil litigation. It's a speeding ticket. It's pretty easy.
CleBrowns07
Typically in my city If you contest a ticket like this the prosecutor will make a deal with you and have you plea guilty to “unsafe vehicle” and drop the speed. But that’s all dependent on your record, excuse, attitude, etc. Still gotta pay something but better than taking points on your license. BornToFly
Update. I went to the court hearing, they changed it from speeding 13 over to improper turn signal at stop sign. Fine remained the same, but took it from 4 points to 0 points, so insurance shouldn't go up. Expensive lesson....

jetsfan4life51
I just got hit by a camera for doing 37 in a 25 (school zone) at 10 PM at night. Apparently a month ago NY changed its school zone camera law from weekdays and school hours to 24/7/365. Didn't even know I was going through a school zone. The street I was on is normally 40 mph I believe.
