Several already have.  A speeding ticket isn't exactly a complex piece of civil litigation.  It's a speeding ticket.  It's pretty easy.

Typically in my city If you contest a ticket like this the prosecutor will make a deal with you and have you plea guilty to “unsafe vehicle” and drop the speed. But that’s all dependent on your record, excuse, attitude, etc. Still gotta pay something but better than taking points on your license.

Update.  I went to the court hearing, they changed it from speeding 13 over to improper turn signal at stop sign.  Fine remained the same, but took it from 4 points to 0 points, so insurance shouldn't go up.  Expensive lesson....

 

 

Too bad. You should have received the penalty for your actual offense.
