Yeah I mean honestly he has another year on his contract I do believe So for Atlanta it's probably OK we're going to take this hit now but we don't want to have to pay his base salary next year which is much higher.

$12M in dead cap next year, $8M saved. Still an obvious move to make, but a tough pill to swallow.

$1.39M + $31K per game + a 2024 pick swap…no brainer for the Browns. More teams should’ve been in on that, just to take the shot in the dark.

To be fair who the browns got at lb? Can't hurt to try him not like their off ball linebacker unit is good

JOK is a stud. Outside of him the LBs are below average, but not horrid. Just a C- group with one A- player (JOK)

80% of our struggles are related to scheme and tackling. I don’t think Deion Jones is gonna solve that conundrum.

... So what you're saying is we should fire Joe Woods, right?

JOK and a bunch of dudes who should be nothing more than backups.

Ok JOK is great, but none of the others are solid starters in that B-C grade range. C- or D+ dudes. If deion comes in and is avg thats good business

Eh. It's Dean Pees, so at this point, I'd call it multiple than I would call it actually 3-4. Like most teams it's in nickel most of the time anyways. But it's very aggressive, and there's definitely way more in that playbook than there would've been in the Dan Quinn playbooks he started with.

As a Falcons fan he had a down year last year but playing in the middle with 3 down linemen most of the time didn't help any. The free agent signings and drafting Troy Andersen in the 2nd + no camp, the writing was on the wall. Win-Win trade, I hope he bounces back with you guys. Too big of a talent to be washed at 27, get him healthy and I think you guys will be happy.
