I want to say and it's been a minute since I read this but the 30% rule was implemented during the CBA's final contract year.  We used it here to help resolve some of the insane back loaded contracts for a one year mock.

NFL turned down the raising % rule as they stayed with 30% and no June 1 cuts.   It sounds like 30% is practical but I need to find the confirmation before I agree with it or modify it. whatever.  Right now, I go by current TCMD rule.

Yes.  You'll see the results after this evenings deadline.  First round takes a bit longer to set up but the other rounds are pretty quick in getting the results posted.

I would expect Bears dominating this FA.  That would be vastly embarrassing if they didn't.

I was just looking at Bobby Wagner's deal he signed with the Rams before the 2022 season.  Definitely more than a 30% jump in base salary and cap number from 2022 - 2023

Like I said before it is because of SB.   5m SB + 1.5m base salary is what Wagner got during first year.   6.5m in total and then 7.5m base salary next year.  Clearly met 30 pct rule but I read somewhere that 30% rule doesn't apply anything outside base salary so 1.5m to 7.5 didn't meet the rule.   That is why I suspect 30% rule is in effect after year 2.

yessir.  Knew this was coming.... haha.

I don't care about gifs. They both have their hilarious ones for usage. We just all know the path this leads to and we don't want ANY reason for Webby to shut this down. So I'm calling it super early, and then I don't have to worry about my fun being spoiled in TCMD ;)

Pittman is a good player, but this sets up where all your starting WRs:  Pittman, Claypool and Mooney all hit FA at same time and immediately following next season (without extensions now).

I'd rather have held out for more picks or even traded lower in draft.  Bears could sign them all now, but it wouldn't be a good balance of resources going forward.

Better to have a rookie in mix with two vets.

Ah I didn't see Pittman.  Dang!  Bears are on their way to win TCMD's most improved team.  I envy.

Jets have added a lot of talent in last two years.

5 first round picks in 2 years will do that.    Even if QB didn't hit.

Bears are gaining two 3rds and Pittman in his FA year with that deal.   Not world changing.
