He’s been a middle of the pack prospect for several years… struggles with processing but is Athletic.  He drove Florida fans crazy waiting to see him break out.  He’s a good STer/backup LB.

as of right now, he's instantly our 3rd best LB and starter. go get it kid. LOL

Drafting traits, not bad

the thing is for picks like this to work is there needs to be stability in the coaching staff. Let guys grow and develop within a system instead of starting over every 2-3 years. ThTs why teams like the Steelers and Ravens can kill the draft because they never have too many glaring holes because they have guys in line waiting to take over. We’re always chasing our tail trying to find scheme fits for new regimes.

It all starts at the top. Our instability at GM trickles down to HC, then coordinators and positional coaches.  Steelers and Ravens have rock solid ownership and leadership. Sadly I feel like Mark Davis is becoming more of an issue as time goes on. Not because he is meddling or senile like Jerry, but I don't trust him to create a competent leadership team.

Also this why they not drafting just needs every year. They actually developing guys in one system. I'm no Graham fan but I think he would have to fail miserably to be fired this offseason. Even if he is, they will hire a guy that runs something similar to him. We have had a man press, cover 3, cover 2, coaches leading the defense all within the last 4 or 5 years. It's awful how much change over that presents.

Sucks for players because if they ain’t day one starters like Maxx they get lost in the shuffle. When’s the last time you fet comfortable losing a quality starter in FA because we had developed a guy behind him lol that also leads to killing the comp pick system like Pitt/bmore/SF

Your right…. The other thing is outside of a few steals we don’t get good value in the mid rounds… Guys who can develop into the starters who replace FAs.
