Didn't seem to be the case with Detroit's backup guard last night. In fact, it never seems to be the case when we are playing agasint backup offensive linemen.

I suggest you watch more NFL games of other teams. Also, was Detroit's backup guard playing next to their backup LT?

Oh gosh, we got to play Detroit again on Thanksgiving. I'm getting indigestion already. Who wants to bet that Barry will scheme the exact same defense and MLF will go in with the exact same game plan? These guys are as consistent as gravity.

No, gravity never loses.

From 1992-2014 we went 24-0 at home against the Lions (including one playoff game).

Since then we are 4-5.

If we are going to make home wins over the Lions the annual ritual it once was we need a new coach.

Well, that tends to be the thing about streaks though.  24 years in a row is one of the longest streaks ever that a divisional opponent can go without winning in an opposing stadium, and it always reaches an end.

Same thing with division titles.  Detroit has been in the crapper so long it's been pretty much out of the question for them to win the NFC North - in fact last they won it was still the NFC Central.  But just as the Saints went from being the 'aints to what we saw during the Brees and Payton era, so was Detroit bound to figure it out eventually.  Yeah it can take a really long time for things to change, but they usually find a way to do just that.

But as to LaFleur, yeah I agree.  He keeps scripting these awful plays to start games and digging the offense in holes despite knowing how bad the defense is and its incapability of helping us.  If this doesn't change soon, this season could be even worse than 2008.  And for the love of god can we just please burn that college based QB option play already?  Ridiculous to even have it.

LaFleur plays two bad teams these next two games, and if the offense keeps up its first half putrid look and causes us to lose them, the conversation about his firing should heat up.
