40 Times

Hill 4.2 - 4.3

Waddle 4.3

Mostert - 4.3

Achane - 4.3

I don't ever recall seeing multiple players at all positions like this with elite break away speed. The Phins clearly wanted to build a team on speed and BOY did they.

I haven't seen a team personally faster than this at the key skill positions. Been watching since 2003.

Now I'm wondering if players are faster today than they were 25 years ago, and if so (I'm not convinced they are) I wonder how the speed relative to other players at the time stacks up.

I think it has to do with the change of the game. The idea of having your WR1, WR2, RB1, and (now) RB2 all being guys you bring in between 180-195lbs…probably wasn’t going to fly 20-30 years ago. The rule changes also also helped speedsters on offense.
