If you think a guy attending and videotaping several games of opponents for later in the season, and this coming to a stop now means that there was no competitive advantage for the stretch of the season, I’m not sure what to tell you. Obviously, the past couple season are going to be judged as part of this investigation whenever it’s done but for the sake of the integrity of 2023 the toothpaste can’t go back in the tube. Really the only way is to allow microphone or something. Other teams shouldn’t have to jump through all these hurdles by switching up an entire play system to get around the fact that Michigan already cheated and gained an advantage. Sign stealing happens and everyone in the football world already knows it. People acting like it isn’t are publicly outing themselves as ignorant as to how major college football works. Your exposing yourselves no matter how many jokes you make. The very in-depth Marquette article from 2022 basically concludes that not only does every one sign steal but the ncaa essentially approves of it. It flat says for a major program to not be in gaging is malpractice at this point.
