We can't say what he'll be in MLB, and it is fair to say he won't be the face of the franchise, but I don't think it's obvious he won't be the #1 pitcher on that team

Was moreso talking about after this season when Shohei pitches again

Ah yes.  Now is the time for the Cubs to shine with the 4th tier FAs so they can keep claiming that they are "spending intelligently".

Unfortunately the floor is more likely and knowing our pitching history, he will most likely make 20 milly this year giving up 4 homers per start
