The ol manhandled the best line in the league they just have to do that to Pittsburgh.Β

Are db match up very well against there wr.

β€œYou guys wanted Mahomes/Allen to be Brady/Manning so bad, but it’s really Brady/Rivers”-Nick WrightπŸ˜‚

Joke is on Nick, Allen has actually beaten Mahomes. Rivers never beat Brady.Β

BTW Manning was like what, 0-6 against Brady before he finally got a W???

Allen has never beaten Mahomes in the playoffs, though.

What's the sample size again? Two games??? :)

If that quote is accurate, it doesn't say anything about playoffs. The point I'm making is that it's a terrible comparison, and not the dunk Nick probably believes it is.Β

It’s not terrible. One guys is on a different tier than the other guy. The difference is no one tried to make Brady/Rivers a convo in 2015Β

Wouldn't you agree that those games are more important regardless of the sample size?

Those two ideas aren't mutually exclusive. The games can be more important. They can also succumb to the notion of being a small sample size.Β

Aikman beat Favre 3 straight times in the playoffs. Aikman wasn't a better player. Jimmy G beat Aaron Rodgers twice in the playoffs. Who cares :)

Nick could have just said that then. Because the Manning/Brady comparison looks stupid when Manning was 0-6 before he got a W, and Brady had three rings lol.Β

Yes, but we have rather a few more pieces of evidence that Mahomes is vastly superior to Allen even aside from their playoff history. And if simply beating the other isn't enough to prove superiority (I agree it's not - team game and all) why bring up Allen's regular-season victories at all?

But Manning actually had a winning record over Brady in the playoffs so their "rivalry" was slightly more of a thing than Mahomes/Allen lol.

We are going to look back 20 years from now and be like I can’t believe people tried to make this a conversation.Β

Why name drop Rivers/Brady + Manning/Brady specifically compared to any other duo when applying to Allen/Mahomes? When someone like Nick does that, I'm going to try and follow the logic he's try to make that with that specific example. Rivers never beat Brady. Manning was 0-6 and 0-3 in SB rings against Brady at about the same point Allen is now in his career when that happened for Manning against Brady.Β

Nick tried to be slick, and just no dude...use a better example or just say one is better than the other. It's not difficult.Β

Errrm no 6 years into his career Manning was 0-2 against Brady in the post season. Same for Allen against Mahomes now.Β
