Having now addressed the players, we can all agree on the biggest takeaway.  Joe Barry and Rich Bisaccia must be thrown out the door the instant this season is over.  Barry learned absolute zero from the loss against these guys last year, and proved it by making no adjustments period during this game.  And man, Rich Bisaccia and yet again one of the most inept special teams units I ever seen on that field.  We got a real disease in that dept and yet again we got to eradicate it.

Although it appears STs have once again dropped to the bottom of the league, I cant help but wonder what the thinning / gutting of the roster depth has had on the overall units. We let a lot of bodies go for cap purposes and injuries have also taken their toll.

Nixon's play last night was a stupid one-off IMO.....and based on reporting, he took it pretty hard / personal.

It isn't just that though, all season his kick returns have been way less explosive than last years.  And aside from him intercepting a Mahomes pass last week, his coverage skills as a corner are highly suspect.

Uglem nailed to correctly: he's a punt returner we're putting into coverage situations - again - primarily because we've gutted our roster of veteran talent (read: $$$) - injuries have thinned that more - and we've got an ad hoc bunch of talents in the secondary now.

Perhaps his KO returns havent reached last years totals is his snap count on defense - or perhaps the blocking's sucked. I dont know.

Love isn't very quick, shifty, or decisive as a runner.  On the fumble play, it seemed that should have been an easy 1st down for most of the younger QB's in the league.  Seemed like there was a lot of space out there, and Kraft had his man well-blocked and off-balance at or beyond the 1st-down line.  But Love was slow to get to the edge; then seemed to potentially have win-win-win either darting inside, darting outside, or just following Kraft; but he vaguely chose none of the win-win-win decisions and instead paused and gave the defense time to flow and stop him.  Obviously the fumble was bad, but that was the result of his poor run skills and poor decision-making.
