Tried to put together the best NFL team I could based on Virginia Tech. How would this team do in the NFL?

QB – Michael Vick, 2001, 1st round, pick 1
RB – Kevin Jones, 2004, 1st round, pick 30
WR – Eddie Royal, 2008, 2nd round, pick 42
WR – Antonio Freeman, 1995, 3rd round, pick 90
WR – Andre Davis, 2002, 2nd round, pick 47
TE – Logan Thomas, 2014, round 4, pick 120
OT – Duane Brown, 2008, first round, pick 26
OG – Will Montgomery, 2006, 7th round, pick 234
OC – Jake Grove, 2004, 2nd round, pick 45
OG – Wyatt Teller, 2018, 5th round, pick 166
OT – Christian Darrisaw, 2021, 1st round, pick 23

DE – Bruce Smith, 1985, 1st round, pick 1
DT – Tim Settle, 2018, 5th round, pick 163
DT – Tom Beasley, 1977, 3rd round, pick 60
DE – Darryl Tapp, 2006, 2nd round, pick 63
LB – Tremaine Edmunds, 2018, 1st round, pick 16
LB – James Anderson, 2006, 3rd round, pick 88
CB – DeAngelo Hall, 2004, 1st round, pick 8
CB – Kendall Fuller, 2016, 3rd round, pick 84
NB – Brandon Flowers, 2008, 2nd round, pick 35
S – Kam Chancellor, 2010, 5th round, pick 133
S – Chuck Clark, 2017, 6th round, pick 186

K – Shayne Graham, 2001, undrafted
P – George Roberts, 1978, undrafted

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

QB – Tyrod Taylor, 2011, 6th round, pick 180
RB – Khalil Herbert, 2021, 6th round, pick 217
WR – Josh Morgan, 2008, 6th round, pick 174
OL – Yosh Nijman, 2020, undrafted

DL – Jason Worilds, 2010, 2nd round, pick 52
LB – Divine Deablo, 2021, 3rd round, pick 80
DB - Kyle Fuller, 2014, 1st round, pick 14

I feel like I am weakest in run defense. Vick has a good line though, so that would be fun. My pass defense is pretty damn solid.

Some names on yours I almost put on mine... there were a few tough calls!

Will Smith was a DE and Dan Wilkinson at DT was the 1st pick of the draft. Robert Smith won a rushing title. Ricky Dudley was a R1 TE, and the TE from the NYG in Ballard was great til his career suffered an injury.

Korey Stringer was also an awesome RT before that tragedy.

I thought Will Smith moved to DT at the NFL level or am I wrong? I was going to toss Wilkinson in there but I saw Will Smith had more accolades in the NFL than Wilk did.

I had a hard time with TE because to my knowledge OSU has rarely ever produced a TE that has been great at the NFL level. Hartsock had a 10yr career so I gave him the nod without me knowing much about older guys

The other position I had a hard time with was OG. Ohio State has produced a handful of really good OTs for the NFL as well as OC, but nobody really jumped out from OG position unless Im just blanking on some guys. Taylor Decker for the Lions but he switched to OT?

Decker is a LT and I’m fairly certain Smith stayed at DE.

LeCharles Bentley was a pro bowl guard and center in the NFL.  Jonah Jackson had been a starting guard for the lions since he was drafted. He made one pro bowl so far.
