sparky151
Yes, one of the questions for the Bears is whether the improved results in the second half of the season were genuine (the Tez effect) or a byproduct of playing some weak opponents. Sugashane
3 hours ago, CWood21 said: Saying Chicago was close to eeking out a playoff seems like a stretch at best. They finished 2 games out of a playoff spot, and the only team with a worst Strength of Victory that was in the playoff mix was New Orleans who benefited from playing a cupcake schedule their own division as well as the AFC South. Whether it seems like a stretch or not to you doesn't matter, its still a fact. 🤷♂️ Even losing out to GB if they win those 3 games, an 88% chance that they would have, then they go to the playoffs and GB doesn't. I still wish they had finished poorly through the last quarter season and the staff cleaned out, but oh well.
PossibleCabbage
There's a real chance that Fields is that quarterback who will undershoot expectations at the start of the season every year, but he'll play well enough down the stretch to make you think "maybe'. You could maybe survive with that guy as long as he's cheap, but the idea of "paying Justin Fields to make sure you draft in the teens" is likely a false economy. DigInBoys
Bears have the #1 and #10 picks...you have to draft a QB and trade Fields for more pieces. Have to..
