If you're in America, don't plan a wedding around the Super Bowl. Even if you don't care about football. :)

I can't imagine going to a wedding when the Niners will be playing in the SB.

My friends/family know not to ask me to hang out/do something when 49ers games are on unless its absolutely urgent

We're only guaranteed 17 meaningful games a year, include playoffs and it can be upto 20-21

Thats 17-21 days out of 365 we get a niner game. I'll work, run errands, socialise/spend quality time with loved ones and generally be productive on the other 340+ days. I don't care for preseason games or even watching the draft anymore. Just give me max 21 days a year to watch my niners play meaningful football

So Shanahan said Armstead is ready to go and would have played in week 18 if needed. Great news and he's badly needed for our pass rush to get going now and help with the run defense.

Almost everyone is healthy at this point. All you can ask for. Now need just three more to finish the job!

It's not my imagination that he wears out in the latter half of season just about every season, right? I really like Armstead, but he wears down more than any other DL we have. And it's every year, IIRC. The nature of big guys...the tall ones more often.

I don’t know if it’s necessarily that he’s worn out, but he usually gets injured every year.

He's a humongous human being with foot issues. Armstead was having issues staying healthy early in his career but then he started to become sort of an iron man before the last few years. When big athletes start having foot issues, there's just very little they can do to prevent those injuries. That's why in the NBA the big centers typically fall apart quicker than any other position.

Armstead really is the glue that holds the DL together. The run defense is so much better with him on the field and the pass rush gets unlocked. He's also been a big game performer in the playoffs.

I feel so much better with him being able to go from the divisional round. Chase Young is going to have a big postseason I'm predicting and it's going to lead him to getting a good sized deal in the offseason....on another team.
