Rams fans just feel entitled to be talked about in every award category because that's what the (LA-based) national media does: talk about the Rams in every category (regardless of warrant). Part of the LA market push.

Like, why does it matter if they have 14 rookies? Your rookie count is not correlative to your success; most rookies sit on the bench the majority of the year.

Regarding MLF specifically and the Packers' overall team age/experience (which needless to say is far more correlative to team success), that was a much more impressive coaching job. Why even spend time putting McVay in the discussion if MLF did what he did, only considerably better?

The majority of fans had the rams picking in the top-10, and he took them to a close playoff loss against the #3 seed. Don't think anyone is saying he should win, but saying he shouldn't even be in the conversation is just being a hater. There were a lot of great options this year, and even if MLF was better, saying Mcvay deserved a mention isn't being unrealistic.

What’s realistic is what’s real, and McVay wasn’t given a nomination. All of what you said is also true to the Packers - a team with less proven commodities than the Rams and went further than the Rams.

Literally said MLF had a better season, although I didn't see many people projecting them with a top 5 pick. Saying that those two should be in over Stefanski and Ryans isn't outlandish.

Your CPOTY link is broken and it's the only award some people care about. Big money coming to people if Flacco wins, so Hamlin is a lock

This is finally where The hangover comes into play. Been waiting years for it. Flacco is a nice story but “ Did you die”?  This award was written in from the beginning.

Stefanski and Ryans are in based on different resumes. They're apples to MLF/McVay's oranges.

MLF and McVay are both oranges, as in they have the same argument for being deserving. The only difference is that MLF's resume is objectively stronger.

Why even bring McVay up when MLF did the same thing but better? It's a waste of time. Discussion is necessary to compare less comparable things like MLF vs Stefanski/Ryans.

Unless I'm mistaken, these awards are determined by the regular season, not the playoffs. All three severely outperformed their expectations by ending with the same record at 10-7, but Mcvay took a "bottom 5 team team" to a higher seed than MLF in arguably a harder division, and Ryans barely snuck in the postseason in an easier division thanks to a Jags collapse and the Colts third string RB dropping the ball. Saying that MLF and Ryans are so much more deserving that Mcvay is just burying your head in the sand because you have some vendetta against him, the fans, or the LA media (wherever that came from).

I'd be fine with Baker or Joe Flacco.

Damar Hamlin can get all the community awards but CPOTY would be an insult to guys who actually played.

Only reason I'd put Baker over Flacco is simply due to the length of their seasons. Baker played the whole year. If Flacco played the whole year I probably would have given the edge to him

I'm biased, but Ivan Pace Jr got incredibly snubbed for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Ivan Pace is the anti-Jalen Carter. Zero hype, but incredible year while Jalen Carter had like 1-2 splash plays early on and then nobody cared that he finished the year with like 5 total sacks and 33 tackles.

Or maybe we're just giving someone their due. Sounds like you just have a deep seated personal hatred of a city if "entitlement" is your automatic presumption.

"Automatic presumption" doesn't exist in the post. Your entire post is faulty.

Giving someone their due? You mean a participation trophy? lmao. Now we gotta give the Rams a participation trophy whenever they do something.
