DawgX
Berry is a solid GM, IMO. The Watson trade and - more so - guaranteed contract has Haslam's fingerprints all over it, IMO.

Yeah any decision of that kind of magnitude is an Owner decision, especially if the Owner is a notorious meddler like Haslam. Berry has been fine to good.
SodeeWater_Cheezburger
Stefanski is a good head coach, but you seriously have to consider what the GM was thinking when he gave Deshaun Watson that albatross of a contract.

Probably that he wouldn’t have come to Cleveland if not. He went all in twice and lost both times.

You're probably right. Watson was smart to get the bag when he could. I wonder how much any team would be willing to pay him now, after a couple of rough seasons? Giving him the fully guaranteed contract was obviously what made him choose Cleveland, but let's not act like he had zero interest prior to that. We were one of the final four teams of supposedly like 12-16 inquiring about him.

Lucky Cleveland, it’s worked out so well so far. 2 years into a guaranteed 6 year quarter billion dollar deal and this is on the brink of the worst trade in the history of professional sports.

At least they got to see great QB play for once with Joe Flacco under center.

It is interesting seeing vikings fans complaining about the Cousins contract cost and how that was so hard on the team development in context of the Watson contract.
