naptownskinsfan
Saw a graphic earlier today where Judge’s Slugging % is higher than the average OPS amongst all players.
redsoxsuck05
Do people realize how good James Wood can be? I know there are no guarantees with 6'7 hitters, but this is a very Judgey profile who is already succeeding in the majors 3 years ahead of Judge's schedule. This dude has GOAT potential if he can lift the ball more and avoid getting fat like Adam Dunn. I hope the success of Judge and Wood inspires 6'7 demigod athletes to switch from football/basketball to baseball. The sport hasn't attracted the best athletes for decades now and the fans have suffered for it. Edited August 23 by redsoxsuck05

He's unbelievable. He's doing this a few years past his athletic peak too. It took a little while for him to learn how to lay off the down and away slider, to get the most of his pull power, to shorten a bit with two strikes, and for umps to call him fairly. We need him to show up for a whole playoff, though. Edited August 23 by redsoxsuck05

Trading a superstar rarely gets you a great return, but the Nats absolutely killed that trade with the Padres. Wood is their cornerstone for the next decade. Better get him extended early so he doesn’t depart like Harper and Soto.

He literally didn't have a single fly ball to the pull side until he hit a HR like two days ago lol, he's going to be an absolute monster.

Great point, forgot to mention that. In somewhat related news, the Nats are recalling Dylan Crews once they return home to make his debut on Monday. agarcia34
Ohtani is gonna make history. 45 HRs and 45stolen bases feels like a given. 50/50 feels like it’s in range
JetsandI
Has anyone heard about the Banana Ball World Tour? What the HECK is that?

One would not expect the $700m man to even attempt 7 on the year, much less be approaching 50.
naptownskinsfan
Let’s stop all this talk about legends for a second, and discuss the crazy bender that Ramon Urias is on. Dude is on fire, must know he is fighting for his roster spot next season and now finally has the full-time playing time to make his case. Turned out better than his brother.
